Fragments of trilobite from Lankey's Creek, Reefton
Unnamed Trilobite
Trilobites are rare in the Devonian rocks of the Reefton and Baton River areas, but by now means impossible to find. Most, however. occur in fragments and are often distorted, so identification is difficult. This fragment is, perhaps, part of a pygidium (tail section) of a trilobite, as suggested by the tapering edge of the specimen (seen on the right side of the impression in the rock).
